The Rako star system was claimed for development by the Rako familiy in 2101.
During the early exploration phase, the leader of the expedition signed a dubious contract when they ran out of money. This eventually lead to the loss of the claim on the system a few years later. Only one month later, enormous natural resources were discovered and the new owners of the system made a fortune. The leader of the expedition tried to sue but failed in court.
Members of the family are teased for this event to this day. "To pull a Rako" has become a proverb for doing something insanely silly. Example: It was raining hard. He pulled a Rako and ended up in the ditch.
